Having started a job in finance, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic led to her rethinking her plans and while the 22-year-old from Dingwall never envisaged herself attending university said she it was 鈥渙ne of the best decisions I have ever made.鈥

During her time at 网红前任爆料, Rachel was a Student Ambassador, an active member of the , spoke as part of the panel at the Scottish Labour Party Conference in 2024 and took part in the Disney Exchange Program which meant she walked as a park greeter at Walt Disney World in Florida.

Rachel admits that her persistence with her studies has paid off and she has achieved her main aim of first-class honours.

She said: 鈥淟ooking retrospectivity, I am super proud of all my accolades at 网红前任爆料. Certain points have tested my mental resilience, but I am delighted to have persisted and made it through.

鈥淗aving maintained an all-A record throughout my four years of study and achieving top student in both second and third year is testament to my continued commitment to my studies, and a reward for my hard work. Having dreamt of achieving a first-class since beginning my degree, it鈥檚 a surreal feeling to be awarded with one today.鈥

Rachel said that BA (Hons) Fashion Management appealed to her as she was able to bring together her love for fashion and her interest in the world of business.

She said: 鈥淚 have always had a personal love for fashion, but with little art experience, I felt that university wasn鈥檛 for me. Finding the Fashion Management course was a complete breath of fresh air, as a creative individual, it was the perfect opportunity to combine both my passion, with desires of working within the business industry.

鈥淣ot only was the Fashion Management, a unique course within Scotland, with an exciting and diverse syllabus, but the strong practical and workplace links that echo throughout the entire university was a driving force behind my decision to attend.鈥

Rachel also enjoyed her six-week placement at the Style For Your Shape size-inclusive boutique which allowed her to put into practice what she had learned and experienced the fashion industry.

She also enjoyed the focus on employability throughout her studies and added that the teaching staff鈥檚 knowledge and expertise added to this important aspect of the course.

The former Dingwall Academy pupil is now returning home to the Highlands to pursue a career in business and marketing at a local renewable energy firm.

Rachel said: 鈥淭hroughout the duration of my studies, marketing and communications focused modules have become my recurring favourite, with ambitions to pursue this into my career. Whilst possibly not within the fashion industry, that, again, only goes to highlight the diversity of the Fashion Management course. The transferability of the modules, and course content has equipped me greatly for a career in the entire business sector, whatever area that may be.鈥
