If you do not have an existing relationship, please get in touch via placements@rgu.ac.uk
The Placement team coordinates relevant opportunities for students who undertake a placement as part of the requirements of their course. We seek appropriate placements from interested companies/organisations and students are also welcome to look for placements themselves.
Placements are advertised to students using the university鈥檚 internal placement system called InPlace. Companies with an existing relationship with the placement team are welcome to post opportunities on InPlace and they will then be reviewed and approved by the appropriate member of the placement team, before being posted to the relevant students. If you don鈥檛 already have access to InPlace, please get in touch with your contact in the placement team.
Our documentation can help to support you with both advertising and ensuring a successful placement:
Although the placement team does not get involved in contracts between the placement student and the placement provider, some companies do require advice or support in this area. Local recruitment company aaa (formerly Aberdeen Appointments Agency) have provided a document describing the offering by aaa to support companies who might need it when onboarding a placement student and dealing with tasks such as timesheets. There is no requirement to use aaa, but it may be one worth considering.
Some of these documents are not fully accessible, but we are working to resolve the issues encountered.
